The Green Carrier Scheme

The Green Carrier Scheme (GCS) is a collaborative effort to promote the benefits of dual-use compostable carrier bags and to increase their popularity and availability throughout the UK.

The scheme is the result of a project undertaken by Oldham Council to address their food waste contamination issues.

Today the GCS procure, test and distribute the bags and provide customer support to retailers.
